Singapore!
|
Travel
Ala-carte was conceived with the discerning, intrepid,
unconventional and avant-garde travellers in mind. Unlike
your usual travel programmes, this cutting-edge innovation
is the key to discover totally unexpected and unique
ways to have fun in not one but two cities, Singapore
and Malaysia.
Why
Travel Ala-Carte?
Whether on business or leisure, Travel Ala-carte gives
you the flexibility and freedom to create your own travelling
experience.
-
An ideal and fun way to explore Singapore and Malaysia
without preset itineraries.
- No
maps and no worries about directions, particularly
if you are a first time visitor.
- No
waiting and queuing for taxis (especially during rainy
days).
- What
better way to impress your business partners or clients
when you need to transfer them around Singapore or
Malaysia?
- Allows
you to travel in comfort and security around the city
with the luxury of your own skilled driver guide.
Better
yet, you get to choose where you would like to be pick-up
or drop-off at any points within the two cities.
Most
importantly, the experience you gained from this programme
is astounding as you get to uncover the little streets
or 'secrets' of Singapore and Malaysia that is unknown
to most tourists. Remember the real fun lies in wandering
randomly, seeing, shopping and eating your way through

BOLD
& IMAGINATIVE ~ THE BUTTER FACTORY
|

|
|
Check
this out! It has 1,220 sq.m floor space divided into
a main dance hall and a chill-out Art Bar that plays
a mixture of indie, electro and house music.
The
interior d¨¦cor is out of this world. The
dance floor is designed to look like a swimming pool
with intricate details like a diving board, steel railings
and mosaic tiles to resemble water. Looking like a scene
out of Alice in Wonderland, the walls are engulfed by
character-based illustrations while cut-outs hanging
from ceilings make the area an artistic playground inspired
by the popular works of illustrator James Jarvis. In
actuality, the club is part of a 'Design Warriors' project
and provides its space as an art gallery for local and
foreign graphic designers, artists, illustrators and
cartoonists.
Still
don't get it. Well, this recently opened medium sized
club is the ultimate chic haunt for all hip- hop fans.
It promises an expansive range of hip-hop sounds, from
classic to chart toppers to sexy R&B grooves. To
all the hip-hoppers out there, this club is dedicated
to you!

CHILL-OUT @ SUBA
|
Stepping
into this little bar that is tucked away in a corner
of Millenia Walk is like visiting the home of a well-to-do
acquaintance. Chocolate-coloured walls with fleur-de-lis
style wallpaper and black chandeliers hanging down from
the ceiling create a sense of luxury, a complement to
comfortable settees.
Don't
forget to check out the imported German lounges and
day beds set up just outside the bar facing the waterfall.
On balmy nights, private tete-a-tetes are ideal as soul,
funk and disco beats spill out from the bar entrance.
And if you are an avid beer drinker be ready to be wowed
by its stunning selection of iconic and popular beers
on tap, from Fosters to Tsing Tao.

GIRAFFE in THE CITY
|

|
|
Located
right in the middle of the lovely Istana Park, this
modish split-level restaurant is an architectural delight
of glass, dark wood furniture and casual-chic decor
touches. It is touted as Singapore's first global dining
concept restaurant.
A
private dining room and the bar, which serves champagne,
house-pours, draught beers and cocktails that can be
personally customised for patrons, occupy the first
level. The second level is the dining area. This 200-seater
restaurant is a choice venue for just about any occasion.
Patrons are mostly business and yuppie types, expatriates
and tourists enjoying a business lunch, after-dinner
drinks or a date.
Giraffe
is christened after the concept of being out in the
open, like a giraffe roaming the savannas. To that end
are separate alfresco dining sections and a small outdoor
garden where you can sip on a cocktail while soaking
in the views.
