Admiral Cheng Ho holds an honourable place in Chinese history
and visited parts of the world as the emissary of the Emperor
of China in the 15th century. An exact replica of a famous
Imperial vessel of the Ming Dynasty, the Da Fu, M.V.
Cheng Ho, is nevertheless very modern in its comfort and
safety.
Leaving the Harbour-front, we pass the
mouth of the Singapore River, landing site of Sir Stamford
Raffles, founder of modern Singapore. Behind us is the magnificent
skyline of tall buildings, before us the eastern anchorage
of the busiest port in the world. We will cruise through a
cluster of tropical islands before stepping ashore at Kusu
Island, (not available during the ninth lunar month).
Continuing cruising along other palm-fringed islands, as our
guide gives you a fascinating insight into a part of Singapore
that can only be seen from the sea.
