by Singapore's oldest 'Hokkien' temple - Thian Hock Keng.
This temple has been gazette as a national monument. Known
as the temple of the goddess of the sea and protector of all
seamen, the temple contains relics brought from China, which
are said to centuries old. Can you believe it¡the
entire structure of the temple was constructed without nails!
Your
senses will definitely come alive when you enter Little
India. This colourful ethnic corner is the focal point
of Singapore's Indian community. Its spice-scented streets
beckon you to a cornucopia of ethnic jewellery, jasmine
garlands and silk saris. From the large Tekka Centre and
Little India Arcade to the small provision shops, Little
India is packed with interesting things to discover. Here,
you will find temples co-existing side by side with churches
and mosques, parrot fortunetellers stationed by the five-foot
way and tantalizing scents of spices drifting out from
restaurants. Do not leave Little India without a temporary
Henna tattoo or try "Teh Tarik", a hand pulled
cup of tea. |

World's First Night Safari set in 40 hectares of secondary
jungle adjoining the Singapore Zoo, will unfold the mystery
